Privacy Policy

SeniorProtect ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by ServiceVision. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the SeniorProtect mobile application and email forwarding service (collectively, the "Service").
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name through our authentication provider, Clerk. We do not store passwords — Clerk handles all authentication securely.
Check Submissions
When you submit an email, text message, or URL for checking, we analyze the content in real time to determine if it may be a scam. We do not store the full content of your submissions. After analysis, we retain only:
- A SHA-256 hash of the content (used for caching and pattern detection)
- The threat level result (safe, caution, or danger)
- A timestamp
Check history is automatically deleted after 90 days.
Email Forwarding
When you forward an email to check@seniorprotect.ai, we receive the forwarded message, analyze it, send you a reply with the results, and then delete the original message content. We retain only the hash and result as described above.
Favorites
Your favorite trusted sites are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers.
How We Use Your Information
- To analyze submitted content for scam indicators
- To send you check results (in-app and via email reply)
- To improve our scam detection algorithms using anonymized, aggregated data
- To send you danger alerts if you opt in (via Resend transactional email)
What We Do NOT Do
- We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties
- We do not use your data for advertising
- We do not track you across other apps or websites
- We do not store the full text of emails or messages you check
Data Storage & Security
Our servers are hosted on Render with encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS). User data is stored in a PostgreSQL database. All data in transit is encrypted. Content hashes are stored using SHA-256, a one-way hash that cannot be reversed to recover the original content.

Your Rights
- Access: You can view your check history in the app
- Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting support@seniorprotect.ai
- Portability: You can request a copy of your data
Children's Privacy
SeniorProtect is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by email or through the app.
