Frequently Asked Questions

How do I check a suspicious email?

You have two options: (1) Open the SeniorProtect app, tap "Check an Email," and paste the email content. (2) Forward the email to check@seniorprotect.ai and we'll reply with the results.

Do I need to install the app?

No! You can forward any suspicious email to check@seniorprotect.ai from any email app on any device. The app provides additional features like trusted sites and favorites.

Is SeniorProtect free?

Yes. Core scam checking is completely free — no subscription required. This includes email checks, text checks, and email forwarding.

Do you store my emails?

No. We analyze the content in real time and then delete it. We only keep a one-way hash (like a digital fingerprint) and the result. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

What does "Safe," "Caution," and "Danger" mean?

Safe (green) means we found no scam indicators. Caution (yellow) means we found some suspicious elements — proceed carefully. Danger (red) means this is very likely a scam — do not respond or click any links.

What if I already responded to a scam?

Don't panic. Change any passwords that may be compromised, contact your bank if you shared financial information, and report the scam to the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov or call 1-877-382-4357.

How do I add favorite sites?

Go to the Sites tab in the app. Tap the star next to any site to add it to your favorites. Favorites appear on your home screen for quick access.

Is the app available on Android?

Android support is coming soon. In the meantime, you can use the email forwarding feature (check@seniorprotect.ai) from any Android device.
